April 2003 - The Impact Area Groundwater Study Program participated in the Nature Fair at the Wing School in Sandwich, MA. - Students had a "hands-on" opportunity to learn about methods the Impact Area Groundwater Study Program uses to search for buried metal.

During their discovery of buried objects, students were able to keep the vegetable seed packets that were attached to the hidden objects, at the April 2003 Nature Fair in Sandwich, MA.

June 2002 "Ice Cream and Information" event at Snake Pond in Sandwich, MA. Local citizens were able to speak one-on-one with representatives from the Impact Area Groundwater Study Program, the Installation Restoration Program, the US Environmental Protection Agency, the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and the Sandwich Board of Health.
